Help Scout pricing

Help Scout pricing explained

A shared inbox and help desk that feels like email, with a knowledge base and a live chat widget. Before you sign up, it helps to know exactly what you are paying for and what makes the bill grow. Prices change often, so we explain how Help Scout charges and link to their current pricing page rather than printing numbers that go out of date.

How Help Scout charges

A free plan for up to 5 users and 1 inbox, then three paid tiers priced per user per month, with a cap on users at each tier. AI Answers (its AI agent) is charged for each conversation it resolves.

See the current numbers on the Help Scout pricing page.

What makes the bill grow

  • The number of users. Every teammate on a paid plan is billed per user, each tier has a user cap, and the top tier has a minimum number of users.
  • The tier you need. AI reply drafts, round robin routing, advanced workflows and more SLA policies sit on the higher tiers.
  • AI Answers, charged for each conversation the AI resolves without a person. You can set a monthly cap so the bill can't run away.
  • Extra inboxes and help centre (Docs) sites beyond what your plan includes, each charged monthly.
  • Monthly versus annual billing. The headline price assumes paying for a year up front; paying month to month costs more.

Questions to ask before you sign up

  • How many people will answer customers, and does each one need a paid seat?
  • What happens in your busiest month, like a sale or a post that takes off? Is there a cap, or do you pay for every extra conversation?
  • Is AI included, or is every AI answer charged on top?
  • Is the price you see monthly, or only if you pay for a year up front?
  • Which features you need sit on a higher plan than the one advertised?

How Paperflower is different

Comments are a sales channel, not a chore

Most tools treat comments as noise. Paperflower reads every one, spots buying questions like “do you ship to NZ?” and makes sure they get answered before the customer moves on.

Buying Intent and Opportunity Score

Every conversation gets a score so the people ready to buy come first. You see who to reply to now, and who can wait.

Shopify context in every draft

Order status, shipping and product details are pulled in automatically, so drafts are right the first time and private order details never go out in public.

You stay in control

AI drafts are on and auto-send is off by default. Complaints are escalated to you. Refunds and cancellations always need a human.

Simple pricing

Paperflower starts free with 100 customer interactions a month, no card needed: every message in one list, and you write the replies. AI sorting, reply drafts and spam hiding come with Standard, which is A$47 a month for 3,000 customer interactions, with a 7-day free trial. Human replies are always free. See all plans.
